Leather cleaning and care:
- Clean the surface with a dry cotton cloth.
- Use our small brush to clean the areas that the cloth cannot reach.
- Apply our Lottusse moisturising cream in circles with a cotton cloth.
- Leave to dry for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Brush the surface to remove any excess cream and polish.
Additional Information:
Prolonged exposure of the leather to direct sunlight can cause some degree discolouration.

History of loafers

Loafers have a very interesting and surprising origin, as they come from the moccasins worn by Native Americans. "Moccasin" derives from the word "makasin" in the Powhatan language, which simply means "shoe". These shoes were designed so that Native Americans could feel the ground as they walked, as they were made of untanned leather and had an extremely soft sole.

From North America we move on to Norway, where a new and more modern version emerged in the 1930s, worn primarily by Norwegian fishermen due to their comfort and reliability. Their popularity spread widely in the 1940s and 1950s, and they became one of the types of shoe most used by Europeans and Americans. In the same period, they were also adopted as a type of shoes for women, their popularity steadily growing to present day levels.
